Cookies and localStorage are different
A cookie is a small browser value that may be included with requests to a server. localStorage is browser storage available to scripts on the same origin; its values are not automatically attached to ordinary web requests. Both deserve a clear explanation when used to remember choices.
The supplied site scripts do not create cookies, load advertising tags or run analytics. The settings controls below use localStorage. Hosting or separately deployed site infrastructure may have its own technical behavior; this page describes the storage implemented by these static pages.
What is stored

The value does not contain your name, email or contact draft. It applies only to the current browser profile and site origin. Private browsing, storage restrictions or clearing site data can remove it. Choices do not automatically synchronize across devices.

Both choices leave this static site free of optional tracking. Accept records your preference; it does not activate analytics, advertising or any additional service. Essential Only records that optional categories are declined.

Changing or withdrawing a choice
Select Essential Only to replace a previous acceptance. Clear saved preference removes this page’s preference value entirely; it does not delete downloaded letters, clipboard contents, emails or unrelated browser data. Browser privacy settings provide broader controls for deleting cookies and site storage.
Other local functionality
House-profile tabs, the mobile menu and reveal animations keep their temporary interface state in page memory. The letter tool uses page memory for its draft and creates a clipboard entry or downloaded file only when you request it. These actions are not analytics.
